Ahmed Al Hammadi is the Vice President of Cloud & Digital Infrastructure at e& enterprise, where he leads the company’s cloud, colocation, national cloud, and digital-infrastructure strategy across the region. With more than two decades of experience since joining the group in 2002, he has been at the centre of major digital-transformation initiatives, helping enterprises adopt agile, secure, and scalable cloud and data centre platforms.
Ahmed’s leadership is anchored in advancing secure, sovereign, and innovation-led digital infrastructure, guided by his belief that state-of-the-art facilities and operational excellence enable businesses to scale without complexity. He advocates for platforms that empower customers to focus on growth rather than managing underlying technology, while maintaining compliance, resilience, and digital trust.
He promotes a collaborative culture, cross-functional empowerment, and customer-centric design, consistently building teams that deliver high-impact, enterprise-grade cloud and colocation solutions across multiple sectors.
Ahmed has held leadership roles across cloud and data centre domains within e& and its operating companies. He has overseen large-scale projects, including hyperscale data centres, driving sustained growth in the data centre and cloud space.
Earlier in his career, he played a key role in launching the UAE’s first full cloud compute IaaS offering and led multiple hosting, managed-services, and digital-product initiatives that shaped the national cloud landscape. His experience also includes delivering consulting engagement to Mobily in Saudi Arabia, guiding them on hosting and managed-services strategy.
Ahmed is a strong advocate for sovereign cloud, high-density & AI-ready data centre infrastructure. He envisions the UAE and GCC becoming global hubs for secure hyperscale, GenAI adoption, and sovereign digital-economy platforms, rooted in local compliance, resilience, and innovation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering from Khalifa University and professional certifications in Product Management and Product Marketing from the Association of International Product Marketing & Management (AIPMM), United States.
